Anton’s
day in the Park
Hi Children
This has been a busy Month
for me. You will not believe the places I have been. Before I tell you
my adventures a big thank you to the following
children for returning me safely to my house.
Benjamin
Siobhan
Joules & Sebastian
Ciaran & Kayleigh
Hope you enjoyed the sweets.
Now on to my adventures.
In June I went with Year
4 to visit a Sikh and Hindu temple in
Then we went to the beach
to see the Sand Sculptures. I met Elton John, The Beatles, Little Britain
and loads more celebrities.
The highlight of my month
was the Parish Fete. I was taken to the park (at last) and allowed to
go on the donkeys, join the band on stage, and go in the stocks. Check
out my pictures on the website.
Most importantly with
your help I have managed to create our own prayer. I say this every night
before lights out. Why not join me? Until next time.
God Bless.
ANTONS PRAYER
Dear
Lord, I know that I am just a mouse,
Who has
chosen to live in Gods house.
But the
safety and love I share with others,
Brothers,
Sisters, Fathers and Mothers
Cannot
be found in other places
As we
worship you together all Races.
I know
there are times when I am not the best
And I
put others to the test
But your
forgiveness Lord is always there
To show us that you love and care.
So thank
you Lord for your gift of sharing
Your Hope,
Forgiveness, Love and Caring.
Amen
Anton.
"Where is Anton?"
Hi children. My name is
Anton and I am a Church mouse.
But I am not just any church
mouse. I am the Corpus Christi church mouse. I live in the church in my own
house under the stairs to the choir loft.
Every night before the church
is locked up; Mgr Gabriel makes sure I am in my house and tucked up for the
night. He has to do this because I am not the best behaved mouse in the world.
I am always trying to escape into the park over the road.
My best chance for escaping
is weekends when the church is busy. That is when Mgr Gabriel is busy too, so
he does not have much time to check if I am in my house.
He could really do with some
help at the weekend when you come to church. If I am not in my house, I will be
hiding somewhere in the church.
Whoever finds me and returns
me to my house will get a reward from one of the members of the PPC. So as soon
as you find me, put me back in my house, and let a PPC member know, and you
will get your prize after Mass.
The PPC are grown ups, who
you can find pictures of in the church porch.
I have lots of adventures
during the week, and every month if you ask Mum and Dad to go onto the parish
website, you can read about my adventures. Where I have been on school trips,
and with the youth, and liturgy groups.
Remember, I am your mouse and
everyone in the parish has to look after me.
God Bless
Anton
Anton’s
Close Encounter
Hi Children
I am settling in well, and love my new home in the Church, although I still
would like to make it over to the park, for a bit more excitement.
I nearly made it last weekend, but thanks to Hannah Davies, who found me hiding,
I was put back in my house and left to roam around the Church until next weekend,
when I will have another go at getting out.
I still have to be careful in the Church though. One day, I was sat by the
altar, trying to think of a nice prayer that we could use at the end of my
tales of adventure every month, when I found myself being sucked towards the
pipe of a vacuum cleaner. The Church cleaners did not see me, maybe because
they did not know I now lived in the Church.
Lucky my big ears stopped me going all the way up the pipe. Thankfully someone
pulled me out, and dusted me down, before returning me to my house. They do
not get a prize. Prizes are only for children who find me when they come to
Church at the weekend.
I think I am going to have to move my house because Ray and his helpers keep
hiding me behind chairs making it difficult for me to get out.
See if you can find where my house is now.
I am going to ask the Liturgy children to help me write a prayer that I can
close with every time I write a new adventure. In the meantime let’s use this
one, until we make our own up.
God Made Me
God made the sun,
And God made the trees,
God made the mountains,
And God made me
Thank you O God
For the sun and the trees,
For making the mountains,
And making me.
